Transform Through Nutrition: Meal Plans, Expert Resources And Success Stories

Our Story: Real Change Through Sustainable Nutrition

In 2014, I met a client with a goal that struck me to my core. He wanted to outlive his dad, who had passed away far too soon from a stroke. This client was a busy husband and father himself, deep into a corporate job in Metro Manila, with a life packed full of responsibilities. His own health? It was on the back burner. But he wanted a change.

We didn’t set out with a crash diet or a list of foods to avoid at all costs. Instead, we crafted a plan that he could actually follow – something realistic for a man juggling so much. The goal wasn’t just to make a short-term shift. It was to build habits that would last.

Now, he’s no longer “following” that plan because he doesn’t need to. He’s developed a way of eating that fits who he is. The last time we spoke, he shared something I’ll never forget: he’s already outlived his dad by over a decade and counting, healthier than ever. This isn’t just his success story – it’s our story together.

So, what about you? What’s your story?

Are you here because you want more energy to keep up with life’s responsibilities? Or maybe you’re trying to prevent or managing a health condition that’s been weighing on you.

Whatever your reasons, I’m here to help you make real, sustainable changes. Changes that actually fit into your life and give you a balance that lasts.

Grace Banal, Dietitian From The Philippines

For over 15 years as a dietitian, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients – foreigners, business executives, top-level managers, artists, and individuals from affluent backgrounds – all striving to achieve their health goals.

Initially, I thought this was my “niche” simply because they were the ones who could afford my professional fees.

My perspective changed when I started my Facebook page where I shared all things nutrition-related. I started thinking about others who needed guidance just as much—if not more. Through my social media pages, I’ve heard stories about:

  • a wife from the province who didn’t have access to a dietitian and was desperate to know how to care for her husband post-stroke.
  • a hardworking professional ended up in the hospital after following extreme diets and quick weight-loss fads promoted online.
  • “haters,” who criticized me for debunking nutrition myths and exposing diet scams on social media.

These experiences sparked a crucial question: “What about them?”

More importantly, how could I make professional nutrition services accessible to those who need it most, even if they couldn’t afford traditional dietitian fees?

This realization led me to create an online platform aimed at providing Filipinos with access to accurate, relevant, and easy-to-understand nutrition information. Through this platform, Filipinos from all walks of life can connect with dietitians for personalized, practical, and evidence-based nutrition guidance.

Hi! I’m Grace Banal, a nutritionist-dietitian born in Mindanao, grew up in Luzon, studied in Manila and currently residing close to serene beaches of Visayas.

I understand the challenges of balancing health with a busy life (as a mom, wife and an ambisyosang palaka).

I’m also on my own journey from high risk of lifestyle diseases (due to genes, environment and my own lame excuses) to living a vibrant, energetic life.

I invite you to join me on this path to wellness, where I share practical, relatable insights on how to make sustainable healthy eating a habit.

This is the diet that “boosts” your immune system, with receipts (aka evidences):

Receipt No 1: It has more than just vitamin C All macronutrients (carbs, protein and fats) – and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) are essential for both innate (first line of defense) and adaptive immunity (body’s ability to recognize and defend itself against specific pathogens or foreign substances). Different nutrients work together to help immune cells …

So, you want to eat healthier this 2023? Eat fries.

Before you violently react, here’s a chismis from a 2022 research study: Experts in obesity, nutrition and public health conducted a randomized clinical trial to test whether eating potatoes everyday can make you gain weight (especially fat). They compared the effect of eating 300 calories of potato fries to eating almonds with the same calories. …
