In 2014 a client came to me and asked me to help him outlive his dad who died at an early age due to stroke.
Together we created a diet plan that he can actually follow as a busy husband and dad working a corporate job in Metro Manila.
Now he is no longer “following” that diet plan that served as his “crutch” when he was just starting an active lifestyle. He finally developed healthy eating HABITS and is proud to tell me that he has outlived his dad for more than a decade and counting.
This is our story. How about you? Who are you? What do you want to achieve and why? I would love to hear your health and nutrition-related story as well.

For more than 12 years of being a dietitian I’ve had the privilege to have foreigners, businessmen, high-level managers, artists, the rich and the glamorous as clients.
So I thought maybe they are indeed my “niche” or “market” since they are the ones who can afford my professional fees.
My perspective changed when I started my Facebook page where I shared all things nutrition-related. In this online platform, I met:
A wife in the province who didn’t have access to dietitians and didn’t know what to feed her husband who had a stroke and had to follow the advice given by a naturopathic “doctor”.
A professional who got hospitalized because she followed popular diets and extreme weight loss regimens promoted online
And lots of “haters” who shame me for debunking nutrition misinformation and diet-related scams.
“WHAT ABOUT THEM?” I thought.
More importantly, how can I offer my professional services to them if they cannot afford my professional fees?
These realizations inspired me to come up with an online platform where my fellow Filipinos can have access to accurate, relevant and easy-to-follow nutrition information and reach out to other dietitians for more detailed nutrition recommendation and guidance.

Most of us are aware that pregnant moms need more energy (calories) and protein, especially during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters and most especially if the mom is underweight prior to getting pregnant.
